James Whelan
James is an Irish actor from Kildare. Originally a qualified primary school teacher, James transitioned into acting after training at the prestigious Bow Street Academy for Screen Acting. He further honed his craft through The Actor’s Practice under renowned voice and acting coach Helena Walsh.
An award-winning theatre performer, James has appeared in numerous acclaimed productions, including CLASS by Iseult Golden and David Horan, and It’s Always the Quiet Ones by Niall Carmody at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
On screen, James recently appeared in a guest role in Season 2 of the BBC’s hit series The Tourist, starring Jamie Dornan. He is currently preparing for his next role in the upcoming short film The Last Anchor.
