Gabriela Chanova

Gabriela Chanova is an Offies 2026 nominated Bulgarian actor, theatre producer and playwright. She has completed her acting training at Arts University Bournemouth, the National Youth Theatre, Young Vic Theatre, the Actors Class and specialised in Meisner practice. She has since performed with companies such as Gecko Theatre and Good Chance, as well as at venues like the Young Vic Theatre, Seven Dials Playhouse, Edinburgh Fringe, the Pleasance and the Union Theatre. Gabriela has toured nationally and at the Edinburgh Fringe, as well as starred in numerous short films produced by the BFS.

As an award-winning producer (Commendation for Excellence at London Pub Awards 2024), she has trained at the National Theatre and the Almeida Theatre and co-founded a production company called StageBase Productions. Their team produces new work, delivers participation programmes and was recently appointed as Pleasance Associate Artists.

Co-founding the Bulgarian Creative Circle and serving on the boards at Almeida Theatre, National Youth Theatre, Young Arts Fundraisers and Masterclass Theatre Trust reflect Gabi's passion about access and sustainability in the arts.
