Alexandra Montalbano
Alexandra Montalbano is an actor, dancer and writer based in London and New York. Prior to receiving her MFA from LAMDA in Classical Acting, she studied Dance and Theatre at Manhattanville College and Roehampton University.
Select theatre credits include Orpheus Descending at The Cockpit (Dir. Anna Barkan), Macbeth (Dir. Nancy Meckler), and The Misanthrope (Dir. Françoise Walot). She has danced onstage at Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater, HERE Arts Center, LaMama and on screen at Lincoln Center’s Dance on Camera Festival.
Her show, choke me, will premiere this fall at The Hen and Chickens Theatre. Marking her writing debut, choke me is a multimedia one-person show centered around a woman caught between the literal lenses of her husband, and her lover (who happens to be her stepson), exploring the ownership of a woman’s voice and her narrative.
Along with her performance credits, she has movement directed Orpheus Descending (The Cockpit), too much of water (Old Red Lion) and The UnderNeath (Edinburgh Fringe).
