Mountview trained, Virginia has worked on stage and screen.

As a member of John Calder’s Godot Company she played most of Samuel Beckett’s female roles including a no1 tour of Ireland of “Not I” for Richard Ryan productions and Play/ Catastrophe at the Traverse, Edinburgh. She also wrote “Beckett and the French” about the French writers whom Beckett loved and who most influenced his writing.

She has worked in weekly rep and in many genres from Coward, Aykbourn and Cooney to Shakespeare and Pinter, most recently appearing in Kay Mellor’s No 1 theatre tour of Band of Gold. Voice work includes Lady Virette in Dr Who BBC Online Adventures, raising £450,000 for Children in Need.
