Gareth Cooper
Gareth is an award-winning song, script and sketch comedy writer.
He wrote the music and lyrics to a West End musical, "The Hunting of the Snark", which toured the UK, Hong Kong and Australia, finishing its run at Sydney Opera House. He also co-adapted several best-selling children's books for theatre -"The Worst Princess" with Full House Theatre (touring 2025) and "The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch" for Pied Piper Theatre.
Gareth spent five years writing sketches and songs with award-winning, critically-acclaimed sketch comedy group, Delete the Banjax, and has taken 9 shows up to the Edinburgh Fringe. He has also written and recorded an album of comedy songs (and a live album of his 2015 solo show, "Mishmash") and writes bespoke lyrics/songs for theatre and children's YouTube channels (including Thomas & Friends).
He is currently writing a new comedy album, co-writing a folk musical and touring his solo show, "The Mermaid of Padstow".
